Vacation update (and other stuff)

I didn't do all the things I planned to do while hubby was on vacation but we did manage to get a good portion of it done... I feel nice and clean now after cleaning the carpets... I bet I would feel even better if I got rid of some of this clutter!
I don't know why I'm such a pack rat... there must be some deep seated psychological reason for it... I swear I must have about a half dozen boxes and drawers just filled to the brim with electronics stuff, e.g., cables, wires, modems, phones, adapters, you name it, it is in there... and most of it is so jumbled and tangled up it would take hours just to separate it... I told my husband the other day we should just toss every bit of it in the trash and if we need something we'll just go out and buy it new... but have we done that...? heck no, we still have all the crap in boxes in the closet and we never even look in them... *sigh*
I bet I could sell it on eBay but shipping would probably cost more than whatever was bid on it, hehe...
My cat that had the anal gland rupture is doing just fine and dandy now... it was a terrible scare for us and a horrible 10 days of the poor thing wearing his E-collar but we made it through and he is almost as good as new now... thank God for that...

you can clear out the "Anon" and type your name in if ya want to though... or you could even register for a handle here, lol, I wish someone would... probably not much need for that though...the only thing extra it will give you is the ability to create new forum posts (not that I use the forum at this site except for backup) and I think the ability to edit your own comments, which comes in very handy for me as you can see...
yeah, I'm a packrat... it's awful really and it is embarrassing some of the things I keep... When we bought our land and mobile home we always planned to build a house here one day and we are determined next time we move that we are not going to take our junk with us.. but hell, I've been just as determined all the other times we moved and carried unopened boxes from one house to the other! haha and nothing is stopping me from getting up off my ass and sorting through some stuff now so I think I must have some kind of psychological block (or I'm just frickin' lazy, well I am but there is more to it than that I think)...
wow, I told someone earlier I thought I was heading into a "quiet" phase but it looks like I don't know my own phases after all, do I? blah blah blah, I sure am quiet!

I dunno about pitching out the junkpile, I just built two computers out of mine, it DID come in handy!!
Now if I just had a stray HUB in there, I could get my OTHER 'puter online too!!
